Fairchild Kindergarten is magic. The school is beautifully designed - literally a dream space for children. The curriculum is inspiring - Tepper thinks she is playing, but oh is she learning so much! And the staff - there is so much to say about the staff. They could not be nicer, more nurturing, more supportive. And I don't just mean the teachers (although I do love the teachers!) We appreciate the warm greeting Teppers gets at drop-off every day. The kind assistance she gets in the bathroom. The encouragement and support from the teachers is invaluable. They are, and the impact they have had, is remarkable.
Like most other new joiners her age (two), Tepper was quite apprehensive to start with. And frankly so were we! But the impact Fairchild has had on Tepper is amazing. She has become a more confident, curious, and independent little human. She talks more (in both English and Mandarin!), she makes friends, she asks questions about things I wouldn't have thought to expose her to. She bounces into school now; we both cherish the time she spends there. Like I said, Fairchild is magic.
Being part of Fairchild is like being a member of a family. Fairchild teachers are very detail-oriented and focus on every single aspect of your child's development. They are very observant and mindful. During pandemic, They supported excellent job for kids' well-being and happiness. The school is very non-commercial in nature. As Skylar's parents, we always say that we are lucky that we came across Fairchild as the best choice we could have ever made for Skylar.
Fairchild is an excellent preschool that we highly recommend. The staff and teachers are skilled, caring and kind. They are always flexible and understanding with the families. The learning environment is great and encourages children to discover new things and grow their confidence. Our children love going to Fairchild every morning and even miss school during holidays.
Both being primary school teachers, choosing a kindergarten was an extremely important decision for us to make as parents. We were looking for somewhere where children’s voices were truly valued, where our children had the ability to make their own decisions about what to explore; a place where the curriculum was truly child-centric and play-based.
We have been delighted to have both our children enrolled at Fairchild; seeing them finish each day full of enthusiasm and excitement about what they have been doing is a daily source of joy for us. Where many other kindergartens are keen to enforce a rigid structure of directions and expected outputs of young learners, it’s clear that our children’s curiosities and choices are fully supported at FJA. Having taught in an early-years classroom for a number of years, I couldn’t be happier to see my children engage in a genuine play-based, student-led environment each day. For these children, each day is rich in possibility, with limitless potential for discovery and wonder.
Aside from the curriculum, FJA carefully nurtures a classroom environment that encourages mutual respect amongst peers and teachers, as well as celebrating cultural differences. Our children enjoy a vibrant, engaging mixture of culture and languages that stimulate their curiosity and understanding of the world around them.
We have been delighted to find this wonderful Kindergarten, and as such we have continued to refer many friends to join FJA.
