I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I graduated this year with a Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Yew Chung College. I will also continue my further studies to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
All my life I did not have many ambitions or dreams, the question of what I want to be when I grow up or what my dream job is, has always been a hidden mystery for me. However, all of that went away when I first experienced teaching children and really spending time to help them grow and develop into a better individual, that was when it sparked me to want to become an educator for children. Being an educator is challenging but a very rewarding profession. Teachers play an important role in children’s life, especially during their early childhoods.
As an early childhood educator, It is my desire to create a positive and secure atmosphere in the classroom. Whenever teachers interact with children, it opens a gateway to help them nurture positive relationships. Not only will I encourage teacher-child relationships, but also child-child relationships. I believe that having a reciprocated relationship with teachers and peers will allow children to feel more comfortable when coming into the classroom and be more confident to share their thoughts and express themselves during class. Based on the atmosphere and relationship that I develop, children will meet their full potential.
I am very lucky excited about working with the Fairchild family and looking forward to seeing the children growing, day by day, and mastering new skills and knowledge.
